The main thing is that the foreign players are willing to play the event in Pakistan or not. Pakistan hosted its very first PSL event entirely in UAE. Although the idea of hosting the even outside Pakistan was vulnerable, but the enthusiasm of the Pakistani nation has made the event a great success. The then chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Mr. Najam Sethi inaugurated the event and his name will always be written in good books of cricket history. The then chairman was then obligated after Imran Khan led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf won the election in 2018. Mr. Ehsan Mani was then appointed as the executive head pf Pakistan Cricket board.

There are pretty good names who are going to appear in this year’s PSL and can make a clear difference in the event. Let’s discuss players from each team who need to be eyed upon:

1 – Luke Ronchi – Islamabad United:

The New Zealand player Luke Ronchi has already made a clear difference in previous sessions of Pakistan Super League. Talking about the Kiwi player, Luke Ronchi has made his name lightened in the previous PSL events. Though he is a wicket keeper, but has gained fame from his batting skills. Luke Ronchi was the leading run scorer in the 2018 edition of PSL. He made 435 runs in that event and ended his 2018 session on higher note. He also registered the 4th fastest half century of PSL history by taking only 21 balls to achieve the milestone. He also claims the record of the fastest strike rate in the period of 2018–2019. Playing 23 matches in the season he attained the strike rate of 169.81 becoming the player to have the highest strike rate in a PSL season.

In the session 2018–2019, he achieved the aim of becoming the 5th best wicket keeper influencing 15 dismissals including 14 catches and 1 stumping in 22 matches. He also holds the record of becoming the 2nd best wicket keeper after Kamran Akmal involved in 11 dismissals in the recent season of PSL.

This player has the ability to showcase his talent in the upcoming season of PSL.

2 – Sharjeel Khan – Karachi Kings:

He made his first-class debut for Hyderabad against Islamabad in 2009. Although he did not have a great start to his domestic career, his performances improved over time and he ended up with over 800 runs in that season. Before being provisionally suspended on charges of corruption in the PSL, Khan had struck three consecutive fifties in Australia against the home team. He was also handed his maiden Test cap on the same tour but fate had a bitter route for the young man. A T20 specialist, his chances of forging a comeback looks bleak because of the controversy.

The first player to score a century in PSL history, Sharjeel Khan, has got a call from Karachi Kings team. The main point of discussion is that whether he will play as a regular player or will be forced to sit on the bench. He has played a few handsome knocks and made his name famous in the shorter format of cricket. He has got an amazing talent and was appreciated by some very big names. Although he was involved in an act of shame and made his career tarred by involving himself in spot fixing, he can amaze the viewers by showing his skills on the field.

Alex Hales from England can also make his name by showing his skills. Well, the main eye-catching player remains the same, Sharjeel Khan.

3 – Kamran Akmal – Peshawar Zalmi:

When we talk about runs in PSL, the only name coms to mind is of Kamran Akmal. Played in all the seasons of PSL for Peshawar Zalmi, he has got fame from his score hitting skills. He has achieved so many records. He is the only player to score century twice in PSL. He has got the title of run-machine of PSL. The Yellow Army member has knocked the doors of selectors but his luck didn’t favor much. Though he was called back for a T20 series but he failed to show his skills at the international level.

Talking about his PSL career, he has got the fame by hitting bunch of runs and influencing the dismissals while keeping wickets behind. Kamran Akmal holds the record for the greatest number of runs in the PSL session from 2016–2019. He keeps the record of the 2nd highest run scorer in PSL 2018 and 2nd highest run scorer in PSL 2019. He keeps the 4th and 5th position of scoring highest runs as an individual by scoring 104 and 107* runs. He has hit 66 sixes and has the record of hitting more sixes in PSL event than any other batsman. He also has gained the 4th and 5th positions of scoring the fastest century. Till now he is the best wicket keeper in the PSL history and his records seem to be unstoppable.

The consistent performances of the Yellow Army member have forced us to include his name in the discussion. Hopefully, we will see some more good innings from the Akmal Family boy, Kamran Akmal.

Sarfaraz Ahmed has made his name to the list for a number of reasons. Recently, he was dropped from all the formats of cricket by Pakistan Cricket Board. Although he was the captain of the national side, but he was ignored for a place in the team as a player also. In such conditions, we have to see that whether Sarfaraz Ahmed can enter his name to the good lists or not

The whole nation will be watching how he will perform after exclusion from the national team both as a player and as a captain. Sarfaraz Ahmed has the achievement of best T20 captain for the team. The Pakistan Cricket Team is still on number 1 position after a year and still claims the best T20 team in the world.

Sarfaraz Ahmad, as a captain, led his team to victory in the Champions Trophy 2017. This seems to be his highest feat he has achieved so far. Sarfaraz did his part for the team by leading the team against Sri Lanka to victory playing a handsome innings. He was dropped by the fielders and luck favored him and he became a player to be discussed about.

All the cricket fans will be eying on Sarfaraz Ahmad’s performance. We will have to see how will he shut his critics up.

5 – Haris Rauf – Lahore Qalandars:

This young man has made his name from Big Bash League, an international league hosted by Australia. Rauf has come into news as a young sensation. Playing in the team as a replacement of Dayle Stein, the former broke the ice by hitting out some wickets in the recent season of BBL. The Australian media also gave hype of his performance. Included as a 12th member in the team, the youngster made his place in the team for a longer duration.

Having played for Lahore Qalandars in the previous season, the boy hasn’t got some worth showing figures. But after his fabulous and amazing performance in BBL, he will be the player to be looked for. Rauf has also made his name to the Pakistan Cricket Team for the shorter format. He got his maiden call this year and played the game at home ground.

Viewers are expecting the same performance from him for PSL, as he gave one in BBL. If he manages to hit the wickets more, he will gain his place in the national team for a longer duration. The youngster will be discussed during this season of PSL and will have to wait and see what new things he an bring for the Qalandars who has a bad reputation in the previous seasons of PSL.
